III.A.Discussion with possible action to assist and support the Texas World Series Tournament which will take place August 5-7, 2022. The Support will be in form of fields in the Old Air Force Base location and with financial sponsorship. Approval is contingent upon clearance by the league association and Interim City Manager. XIV.82. Discussion with possible action to review and approve the dates for the proposed FY 2022-2023 Operating Budget and FY 2023-2027 Capital Budget and any matters incident thereto:
88.A.2. Discussion with possible action to create a workforce employment program within the City of Laredo for adults with special needs, and further incorporating the private sector; and any other matters incident thereto.
88.A.3. Discussion with possible action to consider providing office space to COMCE Noreste in an effort to promote international governmental and private sector trade and relations; and any other matters incident thereto.
88.B.1. Discussion with possible action to instruct City Manager to authorize staff to install speed humps at the following locations under the Special Provision of the Speed Hump Installation Policy and to authorize the use of asphalt type speed humps instead of speed cushions which is currently required under the policy and any other matters incident thereto. City Council District V Priority Funds will be used for this project.
88.B.3. Discussion with possible action to direct the Interim City Manager to drive an action plan for the usage and conservation of water; and any matter incident thereto.
88.C.1. Discussion with possible action to waive garage sale permits and fees for the weekend of August 12 - 14, 2022 in observance of National Garage Sale Day on August 13, 2022, and any other matters incident thereto.
88.C.2. Discussion with possible action to have the American Red Cross CPR instructors work jointly with the Laredo Fire Department to help certify more lifeguards through the American Red Cross, and waive any fees associated with the lifeguard certification; and any other matters incident thereto
