Megan and Priscilla have been competing at the pageants for multiple years and both say the events have helped shape them to who they are today. Both Megan and Priscilla will be competing for Miss Texas in July in Houston, Texas
2. Recognizing Harmony School of Excellence Laredo for being named official Texas State “Schools of Character” by Character.org, a national advocate and leader for character development in schools. Harmony Laredo is among nine new campuses from Harmony Public Schools around Texas recognized for its outstanding efforts in promoting cultures of character on-campus and in the community.
4. Recognizing a design firm, Able City, founded in Laredo, Texas for being named 2022 Firm of the Year by the American Institute of Architects. (Co-Sponsored by Council Member Alberto Torres, Jr. and Council Member Alyssa Cigarroa)
3. Recognizing Laredoans Mario Aguero, Armando Aguero, and Frank Berlanga of Team Rigor Mortis for competing in the 7th Annual Pelagic Rockstar Offshore Tournament in Costa Rica, one of the largest and richest fishing tournament and achieving the recognition of 1st place in the Tuna Division. (Sponsored by Council Member Alberto Torres, Jr.)
5. Recognizing the winners of the 2023 employee bowling tournament that took place on February 2, 2023.
