32. 2023-R-170 Authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents to enter into an agreement with Chi-Town Connection, Ltd., for the donation and improvement of a tract of land found to contain a 2.4965 acre tract of land more or less, situated in Porcion 24, Abstract 268, Toribio Rodriguez, Original Grantee within the city limits of Laredo and Webb County, Texas, part of the Chi-Town Connection, LTD., tract 22-4A (5.00 Acres) recorded in Volume 611, pages 93-105, Webb County deed records, Texas in connection with drainage improvements located near Springfield Avenue and Amador Salinas Drive to be constructed by the City of Laredo. Funding is available in the Environmental Services 2019 CO Bond.
34. 2023-R-172 Authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents to enter into an agreement with Village 83 South, Ltd., for the donation and improvement of a tract of land found to contain 13.2414 acre tract of land more or less, situated in Porcion 28, Abstract 4 72, Tadeo Sanchez, Original Grantee within the city limits of Laredo and Webb County, Texas, out and part of the 144.0 acre Village 83 South, LTD tract recorded in Volume 972, pages 714-722, Webb County deed records, Texas; in connection with the expansion of Cielito Lindo Boulevard. Village 83 South, Ltd. and the City of Laredo will share 50% of the estimated total construction cost of $419,840.00. Funding is available in the Capital Improvements Fund.
43. Consideration to ratify a contract with Club Car Financial Services for leasing sixty-five golf carts for the Max Mandel Municipal Golf Course for forty-eight months, in an amount not to exceed $530,000.00. Funding is available in the Max Mandel Golf Course Fund.
VIII. APPOINTMENTS TO COMMISSIONS, BOARDS AND COMMITTEES (Part 2 of 2)
49. Consideration to award annual service contract number FY23-071 to the following vendors for the removal and disposal of dry sludge from the Jefferson & El Pico Water Treatment Plants to the City of Laredo landfill. The term of these contracts shall be for a period of one (1) year beginning as of the date of its execution and is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds. These contracts can be renewed three (3) additional one (1) year extension periods, upon mutual agreement of the parties. Funding is available in the Utilities Department - Water Treatment Division Budget. 1. OBA CB3 Hauling (C&C Waste Management) McAllen, Texas in an amount up to $200,000.00 (Primary Vendor); 2. Rafter P. Transport Inc, Floresville, Texas in an amount up to $100,000.00 (Secondary Vendor);
54. Authorizing the City Manager to issue Amendment No. 2 to the professional engineering services contract with Ardurra Group, Inc. of Laredo, Texas in the amount of $926,500.00 for a total revised contract amount of $1,845,500.00. The amendment is for the design, bid, construction management, and staff support of adding Chlorine Dioxide Disinfection into the treatment stream at both Jefferson and El Pico Water Treatment Plants for removing taste, odor, and organic compounds, as well as to strengthen chlorine residuals as recommended in the Water Quality Technical Memorandums. Funding is available in the American Rescue Plan Fund.
