Discussion with possible action to instruct the City Attorney's Office to assist the Utilities Department in negotiating and drafting Memorandums of Understanding (MOU's) to begin the process of formalizing an official "Amistad Water Partnership" (AWP) between the City of Laredo, the City of Eagle Pass, Webb County, Maverick County, Zapata County, and any other relevant entities, similar in structure to the West Texas Water Partnership (WTWP) formed by San Angelo, Texas, Abilene, Texas, and Midland, Texas to help the region be more competitive for monies available in the expanded Texas Water Fund through the Texas Water Development Board since the passing of Proposition 6 on November 7, 2023, and better regional advocacy in general for water security measures, and any other matters incident thereto. IX.19. 2023-R-231 Resolution adopting the City of Laredo Federal Legislative Agenda for the 118th Congress. The agenda provides direction and guides the city's advocacy with members of Congress and Federal agencies.
63. E.1. Discussion with possible action to assist the weekend baseball league with a two day baseball youth tournament and any other matters incident thereto.
63.C.3. Discussion with possible action to amend the City of Laredo LandDevelopment Code to prohibit industrial development within 500 feetof any school, park, or any other place where children congregate,to require traffic impact studies in the consideration of approval ofindustrial plats whose use would affect these sensitive areas, andany other matters incident thereto.
IX.46. Consideration to approve a supply/service contract with Park Place Recreation Designs, San Antonio, TX, in the total amount of $300,000.00, and to further authorize future related expenditures for the purchase and installation of playground equipment for the Parks & Recreation Department. This annual contract shall utilize the BuyBoard Cooperative Purchasing Contract Program. The term of this contract shall be for a period of one year beginning as of the date of its execution. Funding for this contract is available in the General Fund - Parks Department and in District Priority Funds.
IX.55. Consideration to approve a contract with Core & Main, LP, San Antonio, Texas in the amount of $77,421.90 for maintenance for the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMl)/Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) equipment and hosting software services. The term of the contract is for one year. Funding is available in the Waterworks Fund-Utilities Billing Division.
X.57. Discussion with possible action on ongoing audits and/or irregularities identified by the Internal Auditor including the potential assignment of other and/or additional auditing duties; and any other matters incident thereto.
