59. Discussion with possible action on promoting a community water storage campaign and establishing an incentive program for customers as part of the City’s Water Security Action Plan to encourage household and business preparedness, water conservation, and emergency resiliency, reflecting the City’s proactive efforts to strengthen water security before the onset of any potential crisis, and any matters related thereto.
APPOINTMENTS TO COMMISSIONS, BOARDS AND COMMITTEES
64. Request for update from Public Works and Engineering on progress and feedback from the City's recent asphalt preservation program, and any other matters incident thereto.
4. Public Hearing and Introductory Ordinance amending section 1 of Ordinance 2017-O-110 of the City of Laredo and authorizing an increase of toll rates through a phased implementation schedule beginning FY2026 and continuing through January 2031; establishing revised toll rates for commercial vehicles, non-commercial vehicles, and pedestrian crossings; authorizing an initial adjustment upon adoption of the ordinance followed by annual phased adjustments each January thereafter; providing for operational, maintenance, debt service, technology modernization, and bridge infrastructure needs, including improvements to the World Trade Bridge and Colombia Solidarity Bridge, and authorizing the city manager to implement administrative procedures necessary for the implementation. Toll increases are described in Exhibit “A” and hereby repeal all conflicting sections in all ordinances currently in effect.
6. In light of recent events and emerging crime trends impacting border communities, discussion with possible action on enhancing security and law enforcement measures, including technology-based policy initiatives designed to prevent domestic and international crime, strengthen coordinated public safety efforts, and retain our community’s status as one of the safest cities in the nation.

58. Authorizing the City Manager to waive bus fares for children between the ages of six to seventeen for our 2nd Annual “Kids on the Go” summer youth transportation program to help families and children in Laredo stay connected and active during the summer months. Kids on the Go Summer Youth Transportation Program will be commencing on June 1, 2026 through August 9, 2026.

61. Discussion with possible action to donate a used F250 pick up truck equipped with animal transport box to The City of Rio Bravo, Texas and any other matters incident thereto.

66. Discussion with possible action regarding ways the City can get involved in helping hospitals and medical practices recruit new physicians in critical specialties to Laredo, and any other matters incident thereto.
