22. A Resolution requesting that U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the International Boundary and Water Commission, and members of the Texas Congressional Delegation reassess the current buoy deployment program along the Rio Grande through the appropriate federal review process, including an evaluation of its engineering, environmental, navigational, and operational impacts; a review of its performance during the recent flood event; and consideration of alternative strategies that achieve border security objectives while improving resilience, minimizing disruptions to international trade, and enhancing operational effectiveness, while continuing coordination with the City of Laredo regarding proposed future border wall construction in the Laredo sector.
RECOGNITION (Part 2 of 2)
37. Consideration to authorize the purchase of two units of heavy equipment for the Solid Waste Department from French Ellison Truck Center, LLC from Laredo, Tx. in the amount not to exceed $445,040.08. The heavy equipment units are composed of the following: Two 2027 Kenworth T880 Day Cab Dump Trucks. The purchase of this equipment shall be made utilizing the Sourcewell Contract #032824-KTC. Funding is available under the Solid Waste 2022 Certificate of Obligation Issue.
41. Staff report presentation with possible action regarding the Municipal Hospital Ad-Hoc Committee, including discussion and possible direction on membership structure, policy considerations, and related matters for the City of Laredo.
42. Discussion with possible action to accept and approve reports/reviews presented by Internal Audit.
43. Presentation with possible action regarding the implementation and feasibility study for the Transportation Reinvestment Zone (TRZ) South Laredo Loop 20.
