PUBLIC HEARINGS Public hearing and introductory ordinance amending the Zoning Ordinance (Map) of the City of Laredo by authorizing a Special Use Permit and Drilling Permit for Oil and/or Gas Extraction and Production on a 3.25 acre pad site out of 3,500.07 acres of a 6,132.06 acre tract known as the Hachar Lease, located East of F.M. 1472; providing for publication and effective date. Staff is in support of the application and the Planning and Zoning Commission recommends approval of the Special Use Permit.
INTRODUCTORY ORDINANCES Authorizing the City Manager to enter into a lease with Gambit Bingo Partnership, Ltd., for the lease of .13 acres (5,854.87 sq.ft) located adjacent to Calton Road and as depicted in Exhibit A as part of the City’s right of way negotiations to acquire the same in support of the construction of the Calton Road Overpass. The term of the lease is for one (1) year at a monthly rate of $83.00 and is subject to termination with a 10 day written notification to tenant at the time a Notice to Proceed is issued for the construction and relocation of utilities for the Overpass Project. It is proposed that the lease and acquisition of right of way be executed simultaneously and that this ordinance become effective upon passage thereof.
FINAL READING OF ORDINANCES 2014-O-162 Amending Chapter 19, Motor Vehicle and Traffic, Article VIII, Stopping, Standing or Parking, of The Code of Ordinances, City of Laredo: Specifically adding Section 19-364 (14) which establishes the North side of the 600 Block of Amistad Drive, to include the entire Cul-De-Sac at the west end of this section of street, located west of McPherson Road, as a No Parking/Tow Away Zone all times except between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm, Monday thru Friday; providing severability, effective date and publication. (AS AMENDED)
RESOLUTIONS 2014-R-118 Canvassing the returns of the Special City Runoff Election held on Saturday, December 20, 2014 for Council Member District I, Council Member District III and for Council Member District VIII; and approving the results.
