RESOLUTIONS 1. 2016-R-25 Canvassing the returns of the Special City Election held on Saturday, February 13, 2016, to fill a vacancy for Council Member for District II; approving the results and ordering a Special Runoff Election; designating a runoff date; designating polling places; providing for publication; and authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with Webb County Elections Administrator for the purpose of conducting the election.
V. EXECUTIVE SESSION The City Council hereby reserves the right to go into executive session at any time during this public meeting, if such is requested by the City Attorney or other legal counsel for the City, pursuant to his or her duty under Section 551.071(2) of the Government Code, to consult privately with his or her client on an item on the agenda, or on a matter arising out of such item. 2. Request for executive session pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.072 to deliberate the acquisition of 16.56 acres of land known as the Marshall Tract property to complement the North Central Park.
