RESOLUTIONS 2016-R-143 Canvassing the returns of the General and Special Election of the City of Laredo held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 for: the Election of City Officials; a Special Election for the submission of proposed Laredo City Charter Amendments; approving the results and providing that the charter be amended as to those sections on which amendments have been favorably voted; ordering a special runoff election; authorizing the City Manager to enter into contract with the Webb County Elections Administrator; designating a runoff date; and providing for publication. EXECUTIVE SESSION The City Council hereby reserves the right to go into executive session at any time during this public meeting, if such is requested by the City Attorney or other legal counsel for the City, pursuant to his or her duty under Section 551.071 (2) of the Government Code, to consult privately with his or her client on an item on the agenda, or on a matter arising out of such item.
